To estimate the work required, we’ll start by asking you to share files containing your text and illustrations. The more you can provide the better, so please include the following (if you have them):

• An MS Word file or Google Doc containing the complete text of your book
• High-resolution digital files of your images and/or illustrations (Tiffs, high-resolution PNGs, or JPGs)
• The text for your front and back cover
• Author bio, dedication, copyright page text, etc.
• Font files or any examples of the style of fonts you want to use (optional)
• If you’ve already begun formatting your book, please provide PDF, Illustrator, or InDesign Files you have already started working on (optional)

Once you’ve shared your files with PufferPrint, we’ll review the work to be done. Within 3 business days we’ll send you with a fixed bid to complete the job of formatting your book. That means we’ll provide as many drafts as are necessary to finish the job to your satisfaction with no additional or hidden costs.

If you want to proceed just let us know! We’ll send you and invoice and a secure checkout link. Once we receive payment, we’ll begin the formatting process.

Depending on our current workload and the complexity of your project, it takes approximately 1 week to provide the first draft and typically just 2-4 weeks to take your project from concept to a polished, print-ready book that you’ll love!

Fixed Layout eBook

If you’re printing a children’s book, cookbook, graphic novel, or art book we can convert it into a fixed layout eBook. This ensures your text and images appear exactly how they are supposed to across eReaders and devices.

Our formatting service comes with a complimentary ISBN and barcode for your book. Purchasing your own ISBN from Bowker typically costs $125, but we’ll provide you with one for free!

* If PufferPrint provides you with an ISBN it technically makes us the publisher of your book. If you would like yourself or your company to be listed as the publisher, you should purchase your on ISBN from Bowker. You’re always welcome to provide us with your own ISBN and barcode and we’ll include it in your print files.
