A padded cover adds a soft, cushioned feel to your book’s cover, making it an fun and unique upgrade for any hardcover book or board book. Padded covers make books easier for children to hold and handle, providing a soft yet sturdy grip. The squishy feeling of a padded cover cover can also make your book more enticing for young readers.

Padded covers are created by placing a thin layer of foam on top of the greyboard that serves as the base of your cover. The cover is then wrapped with a printed sheet of heavyweight coated art paper which is then finished with either a glossy or matte lamination to protect the ink and improve durability.

Padded Covers can be added to any hardcover book or board book – not just children’s books. We have seen authors add padded covers to lots of different styles of books including art books, cookbooks, journals, and planners.
