PufferPrint staff understands that many of our customers sell a significant portion of their books over the holiday season. Customers order self-published books in hopes of delivering a unique gift to their friends and family for the holidays.
Our timing is written with Christmas delivery dates in mind, however, if you want your book ready for Hannukah, 2021, it falls even earlier this year on November 28th. At this point, air shipping may be the right move for Hannukah deliveries, or split-shipping if only some of the books need to be available by then.
When Do I Need to Order My Books In Order To Get Them To Customers Before Christmas?
We are now suggesting 7-10 weeks for sea shipping (over the typical 6-8 weeks) due to international sea shipping/freight slowdowns. The purpose of this page is to give you a conservative timeline so that you aren’t blindsided by dates. Producing high-quality books takes time! But we promise the effort will be worth it in the end 🙂
This means that if you’d like your books in hand by the 10th, in order to get them to your customers before the 25th, if you’re shipping by sea, you’d need to submit your files by August 20th.
Here’s a Sample Timeline for Sea Shipping:
- August 20th
- Submit your files for a digital proof
- August 23rd
- Receive your digital proof files and approve,
- Order your physical proof
- September 13th
- Receive your physical proof
- Place full order
- September 14th
- PufferPrint starts production on your order (2 weeks for most orders under 2,000 books)
- October 1st
- Order Ships, 7-10 week sea shipping
- November 21-December 10
- Receive order window
- December 10th onward
- Ship your books to your customers!

- October 8th
